Anger management?
Spiritual Healing? Deliverance?

How do I know if I have normal angry responses or a spirit of anger? Can anger management solve this problem? Do I need a spiritual healing? Deliverance? Do I have sinful evn worst, iniquitous (iniquity Matthew 7:19-21) reactions and sinful behaviors with anger, wrath, malice or righteous indignation?

How do I know if my anger is a healthy signal that an adjustment needs to be made or if it is sin? When do I need anger management and when do I need deliverance? The Bible says, "Be ye angry, and sin not; Let not the sun go down upon your wrath; Neither give place to the devil. (Ephesians 4:26-27) Where is this room for the devil? Does this spirit of anger come out in the dark of night? Anger + ? = sin ? Anger plus sinful reactions and sinful behaviors plus time makes room for the devil.

Anger + sin + time = room for the devil.

Having a spirit of anger is not just appropriate anger about a current violation that can be directed with anger management. It began with a build up of tension from unresolved conflicts over time. Colossians 3:8 describes the growing build up from normal anger to toxic anger when it says, "Put off all these; anger - wrath - malice - blasphemy - filthy communication out of your mouth." A spirit of anger is a demonic power that has entered a person's life to influence their relationships, change their whole disposition and to control their reactions. Jesus died to provide not only forgiveness but also spiritual healing and deliverance from a spirit of anger. Which do you need?

Would you like to privately test yourself for a spirit of anger?

Do you still justify letting the sun go down on your anger?

Do people say that you were louder and more intense than you remember?

Do they say your anger is not appropriate but is more like wrath? or malice?

Do you still believe your build-up of anger can be managed?

Do you try to dominate and control conversations with loud angry tones?

Does it relieve your built up tensions and frustrations to "go off" on others?

Are you quick to take offense or to take up the offense of others?

Is your angry temper a generational thing that you "came by honestly?"

Do you argue just for the fun of overpowering your opponent?

Does it seem impossible to truly forgive those who have hurt you?

Are you still surprised when you overreact with anger or rage?

Did your anger lead to bad habits or addictions that you now justify?

Do you usually blame someone else for "making you angry" or frustrating you?

Just how many hours do you stay angry at them before suppressing your anger?

Is God not favoring, not answering prayer, not healing or not prospering you?

Do people say that you jump to judgmental condemning conclusions?

Do you react rashly without checking out your conclusions with them?

Have you noticed a pattern of anger over authority issues?

Do you presume to know the unspoken thoughts and motives of others?

Do others accuse you of believing the worst of them?

There are many ways we can manifest our wrath (and the spirit of anger) when we indulge in anger + sin. So lets measure to what level of sin we actually descend, by listing them in increasing intensity and potential harm to others. Where does your anger finally stop? On which rung of this anger ladder are you finally satisfied? What do others say about your present anger management? Are you over reacting out of guilt, grief, frustration, shame or fear of failure? Are you demonstrating anger in constructive ways or do you indulge in some of these ways?

Mean, proud, rejecting looks

Condescending, judgmental, sarcastic remarks

Irritating, controlling or dominating with loud volume

Shut down tones that say "Don't talk!" or "Don't feel that way!"

Negative body language or walking out without a plan to resume talking

Overpowering them with threats or separating comments

Monopolizing or repeatedly interrupting, to avoid listening

Dredging up their past failures or those of their family

Yelling, attacking, cussing or verbal abuse

Public put downs, uncovering them, gossip or slander

Physical abuse, threats of it, or abusing property as if it were them

Passive aggression (acting out anger on purpose and then denying it)

Punishing behavior or fantasies, with intent to make them sorry

Suicidal thoughts or attempts, because you hate yourself

Homicidal thoughts or attempts

If you are willing to accept responsibility for your unresolved anger and to admit that unresolved anger is sin, there is hope. Are you willing to be accountable for your behavior? Ask your family how they know when you are angry. Do they say you need spiritual healing or deliverance? Ask them how often you get angry and if your anger management is working.

If you are willing to hear them tell you how badly you have hurt them and are ready to ask for their forgiveness, there is hope. Ask them to pray for you as you attempt to get healing for your hurts, to get delivered of a spirit of anger and to allow Jesus to crucify your fleshly indulgences.

Usually, when we overreact to our current irritations, it is a result of unhealed hurts and wounds in the past. While we are down, so to speak, the devil comes in and tells us lies about ourselves and we believe them. Then when other people "tick us off," they get their share of our anger and some from the past too. Are you willing to take a fearless inventory of your history of anger, hurt and sinful reactions?

If you have 1. tolerated sinful thoughts and sinful behaviors over a period of time, 2. have denied them even when people who love you try to make you aware of their hurt, and 3. have even justified your right to feel and act that way -- you have a stronghold of anger or bitterness in your life. The Holy Spirit of God is ready to gently reveal not only the surface causes and evidences but also the root evidences and causes that allowed the spirit of anger in. When we invite Jesus, the Spirit of Truth, to lead our sessions, He is able to take the pain out of every hurt, forgive every sin, remove the shame and guilt and even to take our blame upon Himself on the cross. He died to take our every sin upon Himself and to set us free with His Truth. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life!

Between men and women, women make up approximately 90% of domestic violence homicides in the United States. We can agree that satan, the one who comes to kill, steal and destroy is attempting to make a mockery of God's institution of marriage, especially between a man and woman. Yet the Lord, has a remnant of believers and marriages that shall stand; even in these more evil end days such as those in the days of Noah.

Twelve traits that are most often exhibited by abusers.

Men can be abused by women, but the victims are predominately female.


An abuser is typically:

1. Charming.
Initially, he showers his woman with praise, adoration, and attention. His courtship is sweet and intense filled with phrases such as, "I can't live without you." He quickly pushes for an exclusive relationship or engagement.

2. Jealous.
He views other men as a threat to the relationship and accuses you of flirting with everyone from his brother to the mailman. "I know you are looking at him." The irony is that he often is the one who is cheating.

3. Manipulative.
This man is very intelligent. He knows how to detect your weak spots, and he uses your vulnerability and past pain to his advantage. "You were abused as a kid because you are so ugly."

4. Controlling.
He wants to know where you are going and who you are with at all times. He may check the mileage on your car or follow you to the grocery store. He often refuses to allow you to work because you might "meet someone." Or another manipulative control factor causing household distress is: Abusers who divert their responsibility of providing to their wife. As a means of slavery & bondage. With her overworked between care of him, the children, her job, bills, home etc. & church. Particularly pastor's & leaders' wives, they endure in secret.

5. A Victim.
His poor choices are everyone else's fault. When he loses his job, gets into a fight, or a business deal falls through, it's always because of the other person. He is never at fault. "You make me hit you."

6. Narcissistic.
The whole world revolves around him. As the "little woman who is beneath him," it is your job to meet his every need. He is the master; you are the unworthy slave. It's invigorating for him to know that everyone around him "walks on eggshells."

7. Inconsistent.
Mood swings are a common trait for an abuser. One minute he seems happy and sweet, the next he is pounding his fist.

8. Critical.
No matter how hard you try you will never be able to satisfy this kind of man. He thinks nothing of degrading and verbally assaulting you. "You are a stupid, fat, disgusting tramp. You can never leave me. No other man would have you."

9. Disconnected.
His main goal is to isolate his victim from family and friends so that you are totally dependant on him. "Your family causes too much trouble for us. I don't want you seeing them anymore."

10. Hypersensitive.
The slightest offense sends him ranting. Everyone is out to "get him."

11. Vicious and cruel.
A significant number of abusers harm children and animals as well as a partner. Inflicting pain and intimidating others is what gives him power. "I'll kill you before I'll let you go. If I can't have you, no one will."

12. Insincerely repentant.
He will swear to never "hit you again." But unless he receives effective godly help, God led professional help, divine intervention--proven to have come to true repentance unto salvation, not worldly sorrow that leads to death and strong accountability it's very unlikely that he will change.

If you are a church leader, please understand that it is not uncommon for an abuser to deceive and manipulate people in the church. Although Christians are called to be loving and kind, this does not mean we are to ignore sinful behavior that destroys lives, souls and bodies--the children suffer most. An abuser often knows exactly what to say and do in order to get the church "on his side."

NOTE: NO ONE IS WITHOUT SIN, YET IT IS INIQUITY, DEEPLY INGRAINED HURT, PAIN, DEMONS, BINDING THE ABUSIVE HUSBAND'S SOUL; WHICH SATAN WORKS THROUGH THE HURT TURNED TO PRIDE---BECAUSE THE HUSBAND IS THE MAN CALLED BY GOD TO LEAD HIS HOME, SATAN THRIVES TO EXPLOIT THE FAMILY, ESPECIALLY HETERIAL SEXUAL MARRIAGES. THE DEVIL KILLS ,STEALS, AND DETROYS ALL HE CAN DEVOUR, TO INCLUDE NONBELIEVERS, HOMOSEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS, HUMANKIND IN GENERAL, YET HIS PRIME OBJECTIVE IS TO DESTROY THE CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE, FAMILY AND THEIR SEED, BY WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES GENERATION TO GENERATION. This Florida man admitted to reporters that he killed his wife and five "innocent" children, adding that he wants to be executed "right away" so he can be buried with them on Saturday.

Mesac Damas spoke with reporters in Haiti, saying a "spirit" drove him to kill his wife and children.
Mesac Damas, 32, said he wanted to take his own life, but did not have the courage to go through with it, "because if you kill yourself, you're not going to heaven."
Damas made the statements to a Naples Daily News reporter as he was being led into a Haitian police vehicle in Port-au-Prince. Damas was returned to the United States late Tuesday following his capture in Haiti.

Damas faces six counts of premeditated first-degree murder in the deaths of his wife, Guerline Damas, 32; and the couple's five children -- Michzach, 9; Marven, 6; Maven, 5; Megan, 3; and Morgan, 11 months, police have said. The six bodies were found Saturday in the family's North Naples, Florida, home after relatives called police saying they had not been heard from.

Asked by the reporter in Haiti why he killed his family, Damas responded, "Only God knows." Questioned further, he blamed the crime on his mother-in-law. "Her mom pretty much made me do it -- the devil, her spirit, whatever she worships," he said. Watch what Damas has to say »

Damas added, "When I did it, [my] eyes [were] closed but right now my eyes are open." He repeatedly asked the reporter, "Do you believe in Jesus Christ," and stated, "The devil exists."

Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk described the scene as "horrific."
Man charged in family's slaying
The Naples Daily News, citing the warrant, reported that the woman and children were stabbed and their throats were slashed.

Damas had used a one-way ticket to fly from Miami to Haiti. Later, he told reporters that he had gone to Haiti to say goodbye to his family. He claimed that he had planned to turn himself in.

Police had asked the FBI and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for help in locating Damas. The FBI's legal attaché in the Dominican Republic notified authorities in Collier County, Florida, that a man believed to be Damas was taken into custody Monday by the Haitian National Police.

"Information obtained by [the sheriff's office] shows Damas was found hiding near a hotel in the capital city of Port-au-Prince," a sheriff's statement said Tuesday. Watch In Session's report on Damas' detention in Haiti »
Police earlier said the judge who signed the arrest warrant ordered that Damas be held without bond upon his return to Florida.

Mesac and Guerline Damas had a history of domestic violence, police said. Mesac Damas was arrested in January, and in June he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery charges against his wife. Police said they did not believe he served any jail time, and did not think a restraining order was currently in place regarding the couple.

However, an arrest warrant was issued Monday for Damas on charges of violating probation stemming from the January arrest.

Guerline Damas' family released a statement Tuesday through the sheriff's office, saying she was "the best mother, sister and daughter in the world. She was caring and loving, and we miss her very much."

"This is a family tragedy and we want the community to realize that domestic violence is a serious issue," said the statement from the family. "If you have friends or family who are in an abusive relationship, please try to get them help. And to those women who are being abused, please love yourself enough to get help."

The family said its main concern was getting Damas back into the country "to face what he has done and get justice for our sister and daughter and her children. ... We ask that you keep our family in your prayers."

The Damases had been married about 10 years, Rambosk said. He did not know how long they had lived in Naples.

The six bodies were found about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, a day after police had visited the home to check on the family, Collier County sheriff's Capt. Chris Roberts said.

A family member had asked police to conduct a welfare check on the home Friday, saying they had not heard from a resident there, Roberts said. Responding officers knocked on the door and got no answer, he said, but they saw nothing that aroused their suspicions.

The following morning, the family member became more concerned and filed a missing persons report, Rambosk said. Later, authorities requested a key to the house from property management, as well as authorization to enter

A man wanted for questioning in the slaying of his wife and five children in North Naples has fled to Haiti, according to his father.

In an interview with the Naples Daily News, the man's father said Mesac Damas called his brother from Haiti, though he did not say when.

Detectives found the bodies of Mesac Damas' family at 864 Hampton Circle around 6:30 p.m. while conducting a welfare check.

Mesec Damas admitted live when cameraed by reporters, to killing his family and requested to be executed and buried at the grave site beside them.

Demon Powers -- Are They Calling Your Bluff?

“…they brought unto him [Jesus] many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick.” (Matthew 8:16)

Here’s a fact that surprises many Believers today. Jesus actually spent one quarter of His Ministry time on Earth casting unclean spirits out of human beings. Unclean spirits are demons. Some find it hard to believe that those very same demons that Jesus cast out of people, THE VERY SAME ONES, are still in the Earth today, harassing and destroying people, generation after generation. They will remain in the Earth until after the coming 1000 year Millennial Reign of Christ. At that time, they will be cast into “The Lake of Fire” with Satan, the Beast, all other fallen angels and rebellious humans, for Eternity. (Revelation 20:1-15)


Until that time, however, they are here and must be held in check by Christ’s followers. If we are not controlling them, they are controlling us.


Sadly, a world-renowned Evangelist once proclaimed, “There are no demons in America. They are all in third world nations.” Because this once great man of God was deceived in this way, he simply did not bother to resist Satan as the Bible commands. His son became involved with homosexuality and ultimately died of complications due to alcoholism. His precious co-Evangelist wife died a horrible death of cancer after having preached the Gospel of Divine Healing for decades. His daughter was overtaken by severe immorality and lying spirits. (Romans 1:28; 1Kings 22:22) His own Ministry ceased to impact the world as it once did. All because he believed, "There are no demon spirits in America. They're all in third world nations." There is absolutely no Scripture to support such foolish, human reasoning. Satan called the bluff of this dear man's entire family!


America has no intrinsic immunity to demon spirits because of her technological advancements. There are no "Demon Barriers" set up around America. Demons do not relegate themselves to third world countries. Not only are demons in America, they’re in the traditional Church in America. We see this in the popular acceptance of homosexual Bishops and Priests, male and female. We see it in pedophile “Ministers.” We see it in the denial of God’s very Word, the virgin birth and the cleansing Blood in these same Churches. We are actually witnessing the birth of the Apostate Church through which the Anti-Christ will rule. True Believers in Jesus resist these demonic manifestations and fight back using their God-given authority.


“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out demons …” (Mark 16:17)


“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions [symbolic of Satan and demons], and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)

Don’t be a part of the 21st Century Church that has a form of godliness but denies its power. (2 Timothy 3:5) Withstand these evil spirits who try to call your bluff. The Bible promises they will obey. (Matthew 18:19)


Say, “Jesus, I choose You as my Lord, Savior and Deliverer. I renounce all evil entities and withstand their influence now. Satan and every adversary, loose my family and me now. In Jesus’ Name.”

CLEVELAND - The death of a Cleveland mother shocked those who knew her and their community, and now they will gather to remember her.

Several domestic violence and local activist groups are hosting a rally and candlelight vigil for 42-year-old Tonya Hunter-Lyons, at 6:30 Wednesday night, near her home at East 175th Street and Walden Avenue.

Police found the body of Hunter-Lyons in the garage of her Walden Avenue home in Cleveland early Monday morning.

Police believe her four-year-old son may have witnessed the crime. A car dropped him off at East 28th and Cedar Avenue around 10:00 p.m. Sunday night.

On Monday, police arrested her husband, 38-year-old Maurice Lyons. He remains in custody, but charges have not been filed against him.

Hunter-Lyons was the founder of the Bedford Heights marriage and family counseling service, Success 1. She counseled troubled marriages and families.

Tonya Hunter-Lyons was reportedly in an abusive relationship with Maurice Lyons, and planned to file for divorce Monday.

CLEVELAND — After years as a successful couples counselor, Tonya Hunter was credited with saving many marriages from breaking up. But a week before her death, she didn't know where her own husband was.

Nervously, she asked the manager of her office building to change the locks on the doors. With her 4-year-old son in tow, Hunter made the rounds to her friends throughout the building, trying to spread the word.

"She told everyone that she had filed for a police restraining order," said Peter Wairegi, who works for an African-American lifestyle magazine on the fourth floor, "and that if we see him to call the police."

A few days later, Hunter was found in her garage, stabbed to death. Her little boy, who had been abandoned on a street corner, led police to her body. And her husband, whom she had met in an anger-management class she taught, was arrested.

The husband, Maurice Lyons, was taken into custody Monday and is being held on pending charges of aggravated murder and domestic violence. The couple, who married in December, had met when Lyons was a student in one of Hunter's classes last year, Wairegi said. Lyons was released from prison last winter after serving three years for burglary and theft.

Police last week issued a warrant for his arrest after Hunter filed a domestic violence complaint on July 13, claiming Lyons had slammed her against a sink.

"I think she was trying to help him," Wairegi said. "But by the time she realized this was a problem, I'm sure it was already too late."

In recent months, Lyons threatened to kill Hunter several times and punched her at least twice, police records show. She had filed two restraining orders against her husband in the past four months.

On July 20, less than a week before her death, Hunter told police she had been receiving threatening phone calls from her husband for several days. According to the police report, Lyons told her: "I'm going to kill you! I'm going to punch you in the face!"

Hunter also accused Lyons of hitting her just 10 days after he got off parole in March. On the morning of March 26, Hunter told police that Lyons punched her in the back of the head during an argument and followed her and her son to a barber shop. She was afraid to go home, she said, and believed her husband was on drugs, according to the report.

The next day, police were called to the house again. A teary-eyed Hunter answered the door.

"She was noticeably upset, and it appeared that her left cheek line was swollen," the police officer wrote. She told police that they had been arguing about money and the fact that she had pressed charges the day before.

Hunter said Lyons had threatened her, saying: "If I go to jail, I am going to come back here and kill you." Her son told police that "the man had punched his mommy in the head and scratched her on the neck."

Lyons pleaded no contest and was convicted April 7 of domestic violence and victim intimidation in the March 26 confrontation. Court records don't list an attorney for Lyons, who also served prison time for a string of crimes in Missouri and Illinois between 1989 and 1998, including a 10-year term handed down for a carjacking in Bloomington, Ill.

Hunter told police that she and her husband fought about money on several occasions.

Despite her success as a counselor, Hunter faced mounting debts in recent years. She filed for bankruptcy in 2009 and was on the brink of losing two homes to foreclosure. The combined value of the homes was less than that of her mortgages.

In her bankruptcy court filing May 5, 2009, Hunter listed $161,374 in assets — mostly her two mortgaged homes — $547 in a checking account and $10 in cash.

She told the court she had debts of $488,620, including more than $200,000 in student loans, about $100,000 owed on credit cards and $5,000 owed to Mercedes-Benz on a vehicle lease. At the time of the filing, she had a monthly income of less than $2,900, mostly from $1,100 in property rent and part-time jobs.

According to the website for her counseling business, Success 1: Marriage and Family Counseling Services, Hunter earned her master's degree from Case Western Reserve University and was pursuing a doctorate degree in marriage and family counseling at the University of Akron. Hunter was a licensed independent marriage and family therapist and chemical dependency counselor, the website says.

At her home on a tree-shaded suburban street, balloons and flowers were piled by the mailbox. On Tuesday afternoon, Joe Jones, a friend of Hunter's from childhood, had come to pay his respects.

"I am devastated at the fact that she had to die like this," he said, staring sadly at the home. "She was a committed and dedicated mom."

Hunter came from humble beginnings, paying her way through school, building a life for herself, Jones said.

"She had nobody helping her," he said.

In the wake of her death, Hunter's friends are frustrated that the restraining order didn't help her. The greatest irony of all is that she knew better than anyone that she was in danger — and she wasn't able to help herself, Wairegi said.

"Other than going to police, I don't know what else she could have done," he said. "She probably saw it coming."

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Tonya Hunter made a career out of counseling troubled marriages and families, but her own short marriage to a repeat felon went violently out of control and ended with her husband accused of stabbing her to death.

Hunter, 42, founder of the Bedford Heights marriage and family counseling service Success 1, died of multiple stab wounds Sunday night. Someone dropped her 4-year-old son on a street corner, police said, but the boy later led officers to his mother's body in the family's garage.

Hunter's husband of seven months, Maurice Lyons, 38, was arrested just after noon Monday on charges of aggravated murder and domestic violence after police spotted his car at Tower City.

The editor of a magazine that Hunter sometimes contributed to said Hunter told him she met Lyons when he was a student in an anger-management class she was teaching.

The couple's seven-month marriage was marred by financial problems and generated two reports of domestic violence - the latest coming two weeks ago.

"The defendant (Lyons) who appeared high on drugs moved close to Tanya Hunter/spouse demanding money in an intimidating manner," police said in the latest report. "The defendant then pushed Hunter/spouse against the kitchen sink."

On July 16, her bank filed for foreclosure on her Walden Avenue home on Cleveland's east side. A second home she owns is also facing foreclosure.

Hunter skipped a mediation session for that foreclosure earlier this month, as well as a July 19 Cleveland Municipal Court hearing for a protective order against Lyons, who has a criminal record in Missouri, Illinois and Ohio.

In a video posted on her company's website, Hunter said she became interested in counseling after working for the United Way's hotline for social service needs. She then earned a master's degree from Case Western Reserve University and started working as a counselor.

She worked at the Beech Brook counseling center and the Berea Children's Home before starting her own practice in 2007.

She was pursuing a doctorate at the University of Akron in addition to teaching with the University of Phoenix. She had been scheduled to teach a continuing education class this fall through Cleveland State University.

"My goal is to help individuals, couples and families restore to peace, happiness and harmony," she wrote on a website advertising her services.

In addition to private sessions, she ran a Wednesday night domestic violence group session at her Bedford Heights office.

"I am interested in family history because it impacts the core of who we are and who we become," she wrote on one website. "The foundation of who we are is related to morals and values which contribute to decisions in our lives which impact our family and the people we love."

In December, Hunter married Lyons, who served prison time in Illinois for aggravated battery, intimidation and vehicular invasion.

In Cuyahoga County in 2006, records show, he was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to burglary, theft and aggravated theft.

Other workers in the Southgate office buiilding where Hunter ran her counseling business said that Lyons was often around the building with Hunter, sometimes running errands to help her. They said they were struck by how quiet Lyons seemed, compared to the gregarious Hunter. They knew about his criminal background and said they thought it odd that Hunter would be involved with him.

"They are completely opposite personalities," said Rob Weakly, a computer technician who works in the office next to Hunter's.

This year, Lyons was found guilty in Cleveland Municipal Court of a misdemeanor domestic violence charge after a March 27 incident in which Hunter claimed he struck her. Hunter filed another complaint this month, in which she described being slammed against a sink.

"Hunter then attempted to call 911," the new case file reads. "The defendant grabbed the telephone and told Hunter he would give her a reason to call. Hunter's 4yr old son intervened and was sent back upstairs by the defendant."

Peter Wairegi, the editor of African American Lifestyle magazine, also based in the Southgate office building, said Hunter had told tenants in the last two weeks that if they saw Lyons, to call police. This morning, after Hunter's death, workers changed many of the locks in the building.

Wairegi said he believes Hunter knew she made a mistake marrying Lyons and was trying to back away from him. Cleveland Municipal Court had issued a warrant for Lyons' arrest on July 20 on the domestic violence charges. Wairegi said if police had arrested Lyons, Hunter would still be alive.

Shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday, Hunter's son was dropped at East 28th Street and Cedar Avenue, said police spokesman Sgt. Sammy Morris. Police would not say who dropped the boy off.

Police started searching for a silver Chevy Cobalt with Pennsylvania plates and took to the boy to county social workers, who interviewed the child, Morris said.

The child told social workers that his mother had been stabbed and was lying in a garage, Morris said.

Police said late Monday that Lyons is not the boy's father.
